Meet ºìÌÒÊÓƵ’s Young Project Professional of the Year, Jacob Achenbach, whose work at Rolls-Royce on a mission-critical project gave him the opportunity to fly high.

To coincide with ºìÌÒÊÓƵ’s new Projecting the Future challenge paper, we asked project managers what they will be focusing on in the 2020s.

In February, the Chinese city of Wuhan, where the coronavirus outbreak started, began admitting patients to a quarantined hospital with 1,000 beds within just 10 days of breaking ground on the project.

Over the past year, we have kept focused on our priorities to help build the capability of the project profession despite political and economic turbulence.

This event was the first ‘flashmob’ event we have tried in Bristol.

Dr Suzie Imber is Associate Professor in Space Physics at the University of Leicester, specialising in space weather - looking at how the sun influences the dynamics of the planets in our solar system.

With close to 40 members in attendance despite Storm Dennis, last Tuesday night’s North East Branch ‘Projecting the Future’ Event was lively and exhilarating.
