Introducing the new ºìÌÒÊÓƵ Regional Network Leads – Part four
ºìÌÒÊÓƵ (ºìÌÒÊÓƵ) has appointed new Leads and Deputy Leads for its Regional Networks. Following a thorough recruitment process, these new Leads were appointed to help shape local activity and strengthen connections across the ºìÌÒÊÓƵ community. We’ve been introducing each of the new Leads and Deputy Leads in a series of articles: catch up with part one, part two and part three. In the final part, we are introducing the Leads and Deputy Leads for our Regional Networks in the South East, South Wales and West of England, Thames Valley and Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
Lead - Jack Ince

What would you say is this Regional Network’s greatest strength, or most unique quality?
Our greatest strength is our diversity. We have volunteers from all stages in their career and membership grades. Not only this, but we have volunteers who are from all over the world and are able to bring their unique experiences to our Network.
Deputy - Ryan Hawkins

What are you most looking forward to working on with the Network?
I love meeting new people and building lasting connections. I am looking forward to continuing to grow connections with individuals, corporate members, local business and exploring ways of getting others involved in the great work ºìÌÒÊÓƵ do.
South Wales and West of England
Lead - Paul Johnson

What made you want to play a leading role in this Regional Network?
I am very passionate about the Project Profession, and I wanted to lead the SWWE Network to give back to the community that shaped my career. The SWWE Region has incredible talent and potential, and I enjoy connecting people, raising professional standards, and creating a vibrant SWWE Member community.
Deputy - Gary Mainwaring

What would you say is this Regional Network’s greatest strength, or most unique quality?
Stability. The Network Lead, Deputy Lead and Focus Stream Leads comprise individuals who have been ‘SWWE core Committee members’ for a number of years and have built up a wealth of contacts.
Lead - Bora Kusoglu

What would you say is this Regional Network’s greatest strength, or most unique quality?
Our network members come from diverse sector backgrounds and have a genuine interest in improving the project profession. We value everyone's opinions, which helps foster a supportive environment and build more connected communities.
Deputy - Aalok Sonawala
How do you plan to encourage participation and collaboration within the Network
I will encourage everyone to participate by making the Network more purposeful, easy to engage with for all, and focused on solving real challenges. I will spotlight contributions, build trust, and create simple, regular opportunities in events for people to collaborate and share expertise.
Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire
Lead - Vicki Heppell

What made you want to play a leading role in this Regional Network?
I’m passionate about building a strong, inclusive project community across Yorkshire & North Lincolnshire, and this role gives me the opportunity to support volunteers while expanding opportunities for learning, connection, and professional growth.
Deputy - Jack Adams
What do you want people to gain from being part of this Network?
I think the primary thing I would like people to gain from the network is a sense of community. The project profession can feel lonely during times of intense project pressure and it can be difficult to know where to turn to. I hope the branch can offer people a positive professional community and help signpost people to new methods and ideas that can help people grow professionally and personally.
