ºìÌÒÊÓƵ (ºìÌÒÊÓƵ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES), to encourage collaboration for the two organisations that will benefit professionals in both specialisms.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) provides a basis for joint action in areas of common interest to those in the project management and civil engineering surveying industries, as well as the general public. These include continuing professional development, education, member services, conferences and training.

In addition to encouraging ongoing constructive dialogue between the two organisation, the MOU will foster increase cooperation on matters of interest and future collaboration on areas such as policy initiatives.

The MoU was signed by ºìÌÒÊÓƵ’s Chief Executive, Professor Adam Boddison OBE, and CICES Chief Executive, Simon Hamlyn.

Adam Boddison said: “ºìÌÒÊÓƵ is committed to creating a world in which all projects succeed. Because when projects succeed, society benefits. The best way to realise this vision is through collaboration with organisations that share similar values and aspirations. Therefore, I am delighted that the ºìÌÒÊÓƵ is partnering with Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. Our partnership will bring together the best of both associations to support project professionals working in geospatial engineering and commercial management in infrastructure.â€

Simon Hamlyn added: “By signing this new MoU with the ºìÌÒÊÓƵ we are stablishing a formal relationship between both our organisations which will provide a platform for future collaboration on a range of mutually beneficial opportunities, including professional development, policy initiatives and joint events, in the UK and overseas.â€

As a Civil engineer, I held CICES membership for more than 10 years. I also joined ºìÌÒÊÓƵ at about the same time. I decided to reduce my membership outgoings and kept my ºìÌÒÊÓƵ membership and now I have been an MºìÌÒÊÓƵ for almost 25 years. I am so please that ºìÌÒÊÓƵ and CICES are coming together. Congratulations on the Memorandum of Understanding ºìÌÒÊÓƵ, so pleased that we can make a bigger impact together. Ashok
